Device Types

The driver can present itself to a DALI master in six different ways, called device types. Each one uses the four channel outputs differently and claims one or two DALI addresses accordingly. The display shows a short code for each as you cycle through them.

Only these six are valid. The display cycles through two additional combinations (XY+Tc and RGBWAF+Tc) that this driver cannot run, since they would need more channels than it has. Skip past them.

TIP

The factory setting is one of the single-address types (RGBWAF, XY or Tc). Check the display before wiring, or step through the procedure below to set the type your load needs.

Selecting a device type

1. Press and hold both buttons together until the display flashes, then release.
2. Click the right-hand button repeatedly to step through the eight device types (six valid, two invalid, see above).
3. With the type you want showing, press and hold both buttons together until the display stops flashing, to confirm the selection.
