Quick Start

The DALI LED Strip Driver runs 24 V LED strips on four channels. You select one of six modes on the driver. Depending on the mode, it appears on the DALI bus as one or two lights: single colour, tunable white, RGB or RGBW. With the Atios SmartCore, each light shows up in any Matter ecosystem (Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings) with brightness, colour temperature or colour.

What you need

• Atios DALI LED Strip Driver
• Atios SmartCore or another DALI-2 master
• 24 V LED strips that match the mode, up to 100 W / 4.1 A in total

Lights and inputs

A DALI bus has two kinds of devices:

• Lights (control gear): the devices that switch or dim your lights, for example LED drivers, dimmers and relays.
• Inputs (control devices): the devices you press or that detect something, for example push buttons, motion sensors and light sensors (lux).

Each group has its own 64 addresses. So one DALI bus can hold up to 64 lights and, in addition, up to 64 inputs.

One input device can contain several buttons or sensors, but it still uses only one address. The Atios DALI LED Strip Driver counts as one light with one address, or as two lights with two addresses in the T.c and H.6 modes.

1. Mount and wire the driver

Fix the driver with a screw at each end. Wire the mains supply, the DALI bus and the LED strips. For the wiring of each mode, go to Installation.

2. Select the mode

Select the mode that matches your strips before you set an address. For the six modes and how to select one, go to Modes.

3. Address the driver

Let the SmartCore scan the DALI bus, or set the address on the driver. For both ways, go to Addressing.

4. Add the light in the SmartCore

In the SmartCore Web Interface, the DALI Configurator finds the driver as one device, or as two devices in a two-address mode. Add each one as a DALI Light in the Accessory Manager, then control it in your smart home app.
