KNX Secure
The Universal8 supports KNX Data Secure. To commission it securely:
- Set a project password when you add the device to the ETS project. Keep it safe: the project cannot be opened without it.
- On the first download, ETS asks for the device's FDSK (Factory Default Setup Key). It is printed on a sticker on the side of the device. Scan the QR code (recommended) or type the key in.
- ETS then assigns its own key. The FDSK is only needed again if the device is reset to factory settings, for example to use it in a different project.
TIP
The USB or IP interface used for programming must support KNX long frames, otherwise the secure download fails.
