KNX Secure

The Universal8 supports KNX Data Secure. To commission it securely:

  1. Set a project password when you add the device to the ETS project. Keep it safe: the project cannot be opened without it.
  2. On the first download, ETS asks for the device's FDSK (Factory Default Setup Key). It is printed on a sticker on the side of the device. Scan the QR code (recommended) or type the key in.
  3. ETS then assigns its own key. The FDSK is only needed again if the device is reset to factory settings, for example to use it in a different project.

TIP

The USB or IP interface used for programming must support KNX long frames, otherwise the secure download fails.
