Installation

KNX Remote Access runs on the Atios ADE-KD hardware, a DIN-rail device. Mount it in your electrical cabinet next to your KNX actuators, within reach of the KNX TP bus and your network.

Mounting and wiring

  1. Mount the device to the DIN rail in the electrical cabinet.
  2. Connect power via PoE to the Ethernet port or wire a 20–30 V DC supply to the DC Power terminal.
  3. Connect the KNX TP bus to the KNX terminal. Observe polarity.

Power

Power over Ethernet (PoE)

Use the Ethernet port to power the device over the network cable. No separate power supply is needed.

External DC power supply

Connect a 20–30 V DC power supply to the DC Power terminal.

WARNING

Do not connect PoE and external DC power at the same time. Use only one power source.

Network connection

The device connects to your network over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  1. For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port.
  2. The device receives its IP address automatically via DHCP.
  3. Check your local network to find the device IP address.

Accessing the Web Interface

Once the device is connected and has an IP address, open the Web Interface and select your device.

Next, go to Enabling Remote Access to set up KNX Secure and turn on the Cloud Interface.
